Was ist das Gerundium & Infinitiv?
Nach manchen Verben steht die -ing-Form (Gerundium), nach anderen der Infinitiv mit to. Welche Form richtig ist, hängt vom vorangehenden Verb ab — das muss man lernen.
Die wichtigsten Regeln
- Gerundium (-ing) nach: enjoy, avoid, finish, keep, mind, suggest — „I enjoy reading.“
- Infinitiv mit to nach: want, decide, hope, promise, would like, need — „I want to go.“
- Nach Präpositionen steht immer das Gerundium — „good at cooking“, „interested in learning“.
- Manche Verben (like, start, begin) erlauben beide Formen ohne Bedeutungsunterschied.
