Read a digitalisation roadmap, practise smart-tech vocabulary and future forms.
At last week's town hall, our CTO presented the digitalisation roadmap for the next three years.
From January, invoices will be processed automatically by a document-recognition system. The accounting team is not going to lose jobs, the CTO stressed β employees will spend less time on data entry and more time checking unusual cases. A chatbot is going to answer simple HR questions from next spring; complex requests will still be handled by real people.
On the factory floor, IoT sensors are being installed on all machines. The data will be used to predict failures before they happen β a technique known as predictive maintenance. The CTO expects that downtime is likely to fall by 30 per cent. Finally, she reminded everyone that AI systems are only as good as their data: a working group will review our data quality every quarter.
